Hi People, haven't made a new post in a while. Haint has been working hard on finishing up the latest machine shadowbox. In the meantime, Littia has gathered up photos of all the shadowboxes that could be found and will start a new series of posts here on Haint retro.
There's a lot of interest in Haint's new bio-mechanical, steampunk, techno-industrial metallic papercraft shadowbox - He has posted a video on YouTube
showing him putting the boxes together. More pictures of this project can be seen at Haint.info
Anyway, with all the interest in shadowboxes, we decided to review the old shadowboxes in detail and give a little background about them.
This is the first shadowbox that Haint made in the 1980's.
It follows a traditional shadowbox format, though the choice of pictures and elements are uniquely Haint.

This piece was given as a gift to Howard Fenster in the mid 1980's and is believed to still be a part of his estate.
Haint met Howard Fenster in 1982-3 when he was living in Lafayette Ga, and visited nearby Paradise Gardens often.
